Third European title for Raphaël Jacquelin, a professional golfer sponsored by the Edmond de Rothschild Group, ranked 22nd in Europe and No. 2 in France
The Sicilian Open, part of the European Tour, took place in bad weather that caused delays in the schedule on Sunday and saw the final postponed until Monday morning. These conditions did not help Jacquelin's concentration, but fortunately were no obstacle for him.He placed first in the tournament and attributes his success to intense preparation throughout the winter.
Raphaël Jacquelin, 36, is one of five professional golfers endorsed by the Edmond de Rothschild Group. This international team has been built up over the years on the basis of shared aspirations such as peak performance, outdoing oneself and striving for excellence.
Golf has been a passion in the Rothschild family for decades. Baron Edmond de Rothschild helped create the first Alpine golf course as part of the splendid resort of Megève, on the Mont d'Arbois plateau. The sloping 18-hole course, designed by Henri Cotton and situated at 1320m, marvellously rounds out the many activities that are offered on the site (skiing, golfing, spa) all of which are emblematic of a refined yet unembellished mountain lifestyle.
Amateurs can also enjoy this atmosphere in Switzerland, where Banque Privée Edmond de Rothschild hosts an annual tournament on such renowned courses as Crans Montana, Cologny and the Domaine Impérial.
