The joys of the mountains in winter can be experienced as a couple, with the family, and even alone, but always in a vast spectrum of ways: Skiing and other sports of the slopes, snowshoeing, ice skating, curling, ice hockey, horse-drawn sleigh rides, and more.
Skiing, Mont Blanc and “Evasion”
Located in the Mont Blanc region, the resort-village of Megève is right at the centre of the collection of ski pistes known as “Evasion Mont Blanc” which benefit from high level instruction and an exceptional environment.
The area spreads over several sectors, from Giettaz to Combloux via the Jaillet mountain range, from Mont d’Arbois to Saint Nicolas de Véroce and the pistes of Saint Gervais, and from the village to the Cote 2000. The 450 kilometres available offer incredible panoramas and the possibility of developing your technique within the demarcated sectors or in the middle of the pine trees, gliding through the heart of a respected mountain.
Skiing at Megève is an intimate and unique experience which starts at the centre of our village or at the foot of Mont d’Arbois and ends on the peaks from where you can almost reach out and touch Mont Blanc or admire the Aravis mountain chain. There is also the possibility of discovering many farmhouses in the mountain pastures. Megève holds the key to several alpine restaurants, each offering a wide choice of specialities. Take advantage of these ski breaks to appreciate the local products available and where non-skiing families and friends can often join the more accomplished sports enthusiasts.
The Domaine is particularly adapted to family skiing and learning how to ski for adults and children thanks to qualified instructors from ski schools, and the Piou-Piou clubs for youngsters. Freestyle enthusiasts can enjoy themselves to the full in the specially designed snowparks.
Freeriding or snowshoeing is also available, so if you are particularly attracted to these activities you will not be missing out on having fun! Indeed, there are a multitude of unexplored spaces which are waiting to be discovered.
A matchless opportunity to share a moment of relaxation and excitement with family or friends, all in the frisky company of Alaskan Malamutes.
